Pedestrian dropped kerbs
We receive a lot of requests for dropped kerbs from parish and town councils in South Gloucestershire. These help people with mobility difficulties get down from the footway onto the road.
We give priority to schemes that are likely to benefit a larger number of mobility-impaired residents. For example in locations that are;
- near shops or libraries
- on routes to schools
- near old peoples’ homes
- anywhere where there are a higher number of wheelchair and mobility scooter users
If you know of any location where a dropped kerb would help you, please contact your local councillor or parish councillor.
