Residents and traders are encouraged to have their say on proposals to introduce a 20mph speed restriction, waiting restrictions and traffic calming measures in Patchway.

Following a review of traffic in and around the Coniston Road area of Patchway, a number of possible highway improvement measures have been identified. Proposals are available for comment online www.southglos.gov.uk/consultation until Tuesday 30 September. These proposals have also been discussed by Patchway Town Council and presented at a public exhibition arranged by the town council.

The scheme includes a number of options including a 20mph speed limit, speed tables and waiting restrictions. A proposal to introduce some additional short stay limited parking on Rodway Road has also been put forward.

These schemes are due to be implemented within this financial year (2014/15), and are subject to sufficient support from local business and residents, and comments received at a future formal consultation.

The drawings showing the proposals are available online at www.southglos.gov.uk/consultation

They can also be viewed at Patchway Town Council offices or at Patchway Library during normal opening hours.
