Libraries across South Gloucestershire are holding an exciting programme of activities to keep young people entertained during the school holidays. These include fun science experiments, community trails and craft sessions, with themes ranging from Halloween to space rockets.

All activities are free drop-ins for 4 to 10-year-olds.

 

Tuesday 28 October

Spooky house
Emersons Green Library, 2pm to 4pm
Craft fun with silhouettes, ghosts and owls.

Robots and rockets
Patchway Library, 10am to 11.30am
Zoom off into space with robot and rocket themed crafts.

Autumn antics
Staple Hill Library, 10.30am to 12pm
Seasonal crafts and fun.

Monstrous monsters
Yate Library, 10.30am to 12pm
Beastly craft fun.

Wednesday 29 October

All a twitter
Kingswood Library, 2.15pm to 3.15pm
Make a bird feeder to look after your garden birds this winter, plus other bird themed crafts.

Thornbury Library, 11am to 12pm
Seasonal crafts and fun.

Zoom off into space with robot and rocket themed crafts.

Cadbury Heath Halloween trail and family fun day
Cadbury Heath Youth Centre, 12.45pm
Meet at Cadbury Heath’s Youth Centre for a short walk around local venues including Cadbury Heath Library, with an activity to enjoy at each. Finish up at the fun day in Coronation Park and enjoy a bouncy castle, face painting and more.

Winnie the Witch adventure
Filton Library, 10.30am to 12pm
An underwater adventure with sea creatures and Winnie the Witch themed crafts.

 

Saturday 1 November

Children’s crafts (part of the Filton Activity Community Trail event)
Filton Library, 11am to 4pm
The start of the Filton Activity Community Trail – collect your trail stamp at the library.
