Most events are aimed at children (suitable for four to nine-year-olds unless otherwise stated) others are for the whole family to enjoy together.

Events include:

Saturday 7 December

Christmas card drop in

Hanham Library, 9.30am to 3pm (children)

Make your own Christmas cards.

 

Festive fun time

Staple Hill Library, 10am to midday (children)

Drop in any time between 10am and midday to make cards and decorations.

 

Christmas craft fayre

Winterbourne Library, 10am to midday (whole family)

For a unique Christmas gift join Winterbourne Library’s craft group who will be displaying and selling some of their wonderful work. Festive refreshments will be available.

 

Tuesday 10 December

Stories around the tree

Kingswood Library, 5.30pm to 6.30pm (children)

Enjoy festive bedtime stories told around the Christmas tree. Dress code: pyjamas.

 

Thursday 12 December

Christmas pre-school storytime

Hanham Library, 2.15pm to 2.45pm (children)

Seasonal stories for pre-school children.

Stories told around the Christmas tree. Suitable for 5 to 10-year-olds. Entry is by free ticket only – please book yours at Hanham Library.

 

Friday 13 December

Christmas coffee morning with Barn Bells Handbell Ringers

Downend Library, 10.30am to 11.30am (whole family)

Visit the library for mince pies and festive entertainment from the Barn Bells Handbell Ringers.

Northavon Singers perform Christmas favourites

Filton Library, 10.30am to 11.15am (whole family)

Enjoy a selection of Christmas favourites performed by the Northavon Singers. Free festive refreshments will be available.

Bring your little ones to enjoy a special festive storytime.

 

Tuesday 17 December

Festive coffee and carols

Thornbury Library, 10am to midday (whole family)

Visit the library for a festive coffee and mince pie and enjoy carols performed by the Gillingstool Primary School choir. Everyone welcome.

 

Wednesday 18 December

Stories around the tree

Downend Library, 5pm to 6pm (children)

Celebrate the magic of Christmas with traditional tales and songs followed by crafts and refreshments.

 

Friday 20 December

Festive rhymetime

Thornbury Library, 11am to 11.30am (children)

For added festive cheer visit the library for a Christmas rhymetime. Suitable for babies and pre-school children.
