Free children's library activities over half-term

Children aged 3 to 11 can enjoy a range of free drop in sessions with activities including board games, puzzles, and a range of craft workshops. There are also free rhymetime sessions for babies and toddlers and their parents or carers to enjoy together.
Monday 17 February
Beauty and the bugs
Cadbury Heath Library, 10.30am to 11.30am for 4 to 11-year-olds
Come along and make your own beastie or beauty using recycled modelling and craft materials.
Tuesday 18 February
Games galore
Emersons Green Library, 2pm to 4pm for 3 to 11-year-olds
Join in games and activities including skipping, chess, tiddlywinks, marbles, elastics, Twister, Connect 4, dominoes and parachute games.
Chinese New Year
Patchway Library, 10am to 11.30am for 4 to 11-year-olds
Craft and activities fun.
Wild Vikings
Yate Library, 10.30am to 12pm for 4 to 11-year-olds
Craft, word search and colouring fun.
Wednesday 19 February
Up, up and away
Kingswood Library, 2.15pm to 3.15pm for 4 to 9-year-olds
Crafts and activities.
Fun in the jungle
Thornbury Library, 11am to 12pm for 4 to 11-year-olds
Crafts, puzzles and activities.
Shake, rattle and roll
Winterbourne Library, 10pm to 11.30am for 3 to 10-year-olds
Come along and make instruments for recycled materials and items from the kitchen cupboard.

Digging for dinosaurs
Downend Library, 10am to 11.30am for 4 to 9-year-olds
Unearth your very own dinosaur and enjoy prehistoric crafts and fun.

Crafts and activities to beat the boredom.
Friday 21 February
Animal crackers
Bradley Stoke Library, 10.30am to 11.30am for 3 to 11-year-olds
Craft activities with an animal theme.
Dinosaur roar
Filton Library, 10.30am to 12pm for 4 to 11-year-olds
Dinosaur crafts and stories.
Nature watch
Staple Hill Library, 10.30am to 12pm for 4 to 11-year-olds
Hands on nature table activity.
Some libraries in South Gloucestershire will also be holding rhymetime sessions for babies and toddlers and their parents or carers to enjoy action songs and rhymes together.
