Parents, grandparents, childminders or carers who have child seats or baby carriers fitted in their cars are invited to the drop-in sessions to make sure they have the correct fit.

These are being held on:

  • Tuesday 2 October at Asda, Cribbs Causeway.
  • Tuesday 9 October at Asda, Longwell Green.

Drive-in checks run from 10am to 3pm and take around 20 minutes.

Our road safety officers have teamed up with Halfords and the Child Seat Safety organisation to run the free events.

Senior road safety officer Alan Hale said: “The car seat safety clinics provide a great opportunity to find out from experts the right way to fit in-car child safety seats. We are not trying to catch people out, but provide reassurance to parents that their young ones are safe and secure when out on the road.”
