Under the proposals, the Board will include representatives of the four West of England councils as well as local business leaders, and will build on the successful joint working arrangements of the region’s Joint Transport Executive Committee.

Also on the agenda at this month’s meeting are proposals for the council’s future Local Council Tax Support scheme, which replaces the existing Council Tax Benefit scheme from 31 March 2013.

The Council meeting is open to the public and takes place at the Council Chamber, Civic Centre, High Street, Kingswood, from 7pm on Wednesday 12 December.

Full details of all agenda items are available in Council meeting papers which can be viewed online at www.southglos.gov.uk and will also be available in hard copy at the meeting.
