​Four to ten year olds can enjoy a range of free drop in fun sessions with many of their favourite book characters from Winne the Pooh to Doctor Who making an appearance at libraries every day.

Where’s Wally at Downend Library. See if you can find him on Saturday 9 February, between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Spend a morning with Ratty, Mole and others and join in a celebration of the books your parents will have loved. Staple Hill Library, Saturday 9 February, 10.30am to 12pm.

Calling all lords and ladies of the library. Join in a fun procession and discover the secret corridors of Emersons Green Library on Saturday 9 February, 3pm to 4pm. Fancy dress is optional.

There are stories and crafts with Hanham’s Bookwurms group on Saturday 9 February, 10am to 11am. And there is a chance to learn more about the magical stories local children helped create at Patchway Library on Saturday 9 February between 10.30am and 11.30am. Join Martin Maudsley as he brings the magical stories from Gathering of the Winds to life: the fantastic story book was created by Maudsley with illustrator Matthew Jeanes and children from local schools including St Chad’s Patchway, Coniston, Holy Family and Callicroft Primary Schools.

Take part in a treasure hunt to find your favourite book characters hiding in Bradley Stoke Library from February 11 to16 February (excluding Wednesday when the library is closed).

Wacky Wonka and friends – have fun with the world of Roald Dahl at a crafts and activities day at Cadbury Heath Library, Monday 11 February, 10.30am to 11.30am.

Wacky Wizards – crafts featuring a certain famous young wizard at Patchway Library, Tuesday 12 February, 10.30am to 11.30am.

Blast Off! Space stories and craft fun take place at Yate Library, Tuesday 12 February, 10.30am to 12pm.

Bears, books and the Big Friendly Giant: crafts and activities at Kingswood Library, Wednesday 13 February, 2.15pm to 3.15pm.

A Booty of Books – pirate crafts and activities at Thornbury Library, Wednesday 13 February, 11am to 12pm.

The Magic of Books. Crafts featuring all of your favourite magical characters at Winterbourne Library, Wednesday 13 February, 10am to 11.30am.

Hogwarts @ Hanham Library – crafts and activities. Thursday 14 February, 2pm to 3pm.

Winnie the Pooh, Doctor Who and wizards too…..! Crafts, stories and activities starring your favourite book characters at Downend Library, Thursday 14 February, 10am to 12pm.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! Fun all the way on Friday 15 February at Staple Hill Library, 11am to 12pm.

Love your Library – make your favourite book characters at a free drop in session for three to eleven year olds at Bradley Stoke Library on Saturday 16 February, 10am to 11.30am.

February Fun – stories and crafts at Filton Library on Saturday 16 February, 2.30pm and 3pm.
