John Williams is the Managing Director of Patchway-based IT company Absolutely PC. John used to work in a lab as a toxicologist but family circumstances lead him to change direction in his career and he followed his passion for technology and gained two degrees before deciding to set up his own business around seven years ago.

His IT support business provides remote technical assistance to other small companies and his clients are as diverse as accountants to security companies.

John said: “As an IT company, having faster broadband speeds will be a real boost to the business. We do quite a lot of remote repairs and proactive problem solving. Faster broadband speeds will allow several of my technicians to operate PCs at the same time. It will also allow us to service more clients. This means we will need increased bandwidth and we will be expanding the business and getting more staff so this is great news.”

John is also a director at Business Network International (BNI), a group made up of around 230 businesses who meet regularly including at Aztec West to network and share business contacts.
