Coronavirus: latest information on our response, updates on our services and what support is available

Changes to library services during COVID-19

From 6 July we introduced limited services by appointment only in line with latest public health advice. This means visiting the library in the way we were all used to before lockdown, for the moment, is not possible.

  • In line with government regulations, from Saturday 8 August face coverings must be worn in the library, unless a person is exempt.
  • Our libraries look and feel quite different as we are able to offer only limited services by booking in advance.
  • All of our libraries have hand sanitiser at the entrances and floor markings are in place so people can follow the direction of travel required.
  • These changes have been made to allow social distancing in line with current Government guidance and keep users and staff safe.
  • You must not come to an appointment if you or anyone you live with have any symptoms of COVID-19 or you have been instructed to self-isolate by NHS test and trace
