Waste collection guidance for new developments
Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) 2015
South Gloucestershire Council adopted the Waste Collection: guidance for new developments, Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on 28 January 2015. This adoption statement is required by Regulation 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2012.
The SPD has been prepared in response to national policy and local pressure to meet waste collection and disposal responsibilities. The document is intended to encourage sensitive waste management practices that should enhance the overall quality of the environment, and minimize adverse environmental impacts resulting from the handling, storage, processing, transportation and disposal of waste .
The revised SPD applies to the entire South Gloucestershire district i.e. the administrative area of South Gloucestershire Council.
