We are continuing to collect unwanted green bins until Friday 19 December.

Today, Friday 12 December, we have been collecting unwanted bins in Winterbourne and next week we will be in the following areas:

  • Monday 15 December – Frampton Cotterell
  • Tuesday 16 December – Yate north
  • Wednesday 17 December – Yate central
  • Thursday 18 December – Dodington
  • Friday 19 December – Westerleigh and Chipping Sodbury.

Green bins in all other areas will be scheduled for removal early in the New Year. We have already carried out collections in other parts of the district including Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford, Frenchay and Stoke Park.

This is a one off service and if you no longer want your green bin please ensure the bin is empty and outside for removal on the correct date by 7am. We will not take any bins that contain waste, including garden waste.

Collections are not compulsory so if you are using the green bin for another purpose you can continue to do so.

If you subscribe to the green bin collection service please do not put your bin out on this day.

If you currently receive help putting out your bins and require assistance to put your unwanted green bin out, please contact 01454 868000 or email sortitteam@sita.co.uk prior to your removal day.
