Expressing your views on bus services

Most bus services are run on a commercial basis and are not supported by South Gloucestershire Council. We do however, contract commercial companies to provide some services on our behalf. These tend to be rural services, or early, late or Sunday services.

If you have a comment or complaint to make about a commercial bus service, or would like to see changes to a timetable or route, you should contact the relevant bus operator. Contact details for bus operators can be found on the TravelWest website.

If you want to comment or complain about a service supported by the council please email PublicTransport@southglos.gov.uk or call on 01454 868004

Public transport forum

We run a public transport forum every four months which the public can attend and express their views on local bus services and hear about the latest updates for the region.

Bus Users UK

If you have a complaint about a bus service then contact the operator direct. If the complaint is about a council – subsidised service you should contact the council that administers it. If you don’t feel the matter has been resolved to you satisfaction, Bus Users UK is an independent organisation that represents bus passengers and may be able to help. They will take things further for you. If they can’t resolve it, they are partners in the bus appeals body who will issue a decision about your difficulty.

To contact Bus Users UK email enquiries@bususers.org or call on 0300 111 0001.
