Joint Local Transport Plan

Joint Local Transport Plan 4 2020 – 2036

The Joint Local Transport Plan 4 (JLTP4) is led by the West of England Combined Authority, working with South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol and North Somerset councils. It sets out the vision for transport up to 2036.

It also shows how we will aim to achieve a well-connected sustainable transport network that works for residents across the region – a network that offers greater, realistic travel choices and makes walking, cycling and public transport the natural way to travel.

  2. Delivery Plan – setting out implementation proposals over the shorter term
  3. Supplementary Documents – covering walking, parking, public transport, traffic management and freight, smarter choices, road safety, cycling and rural transport in more detail

Joint Local Transport Plan 2005/6 – 2010/11

South Gloucestershire Council joined forces with the West of England authorities to produce its second LTP and first JLTP.  The strategy was published in July 2005. The plan is referred to as Joint Local Transport Plan 2 (JLTP2).

JLTP2 provided the means by which the four councils bid for government funding for transport improvements and also set out our detailed plans and targets for transport over the period 2006 – 2011.
