Cycle City Ambition Grant 2015

The Government recently announced a £114 million extension to the Cycle City Ambition Grant programme, to which we submitted a joint bid with Bristol City Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council on Thursday 29 January.  The flagship scheme within the South Gloucestershire element of the bid being the proposed construction of a new cycle bridge, cantilevered from the existing Bromley Heath Bridge on the ring road, which would remove a major constraint to free-flowing cycle movement along the ring road path. Bids will now be assessed by the Department for Transport, with confirmation of the funding award expected by the end of March 2015.

You can find out more about the bid in the bid submission documents which are included in the downloads section.
