Some of our online payments including garden waste and licensing will be unavailable from 2pm Thursday 28 March until midday Tuesday 2 April due to essential maintenance.

We are creating a new biodiversity focused park at the former Warmley Pitch and Putt golf course in the Cadbury Heath area to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee. This has been chosen by local people.

We allocated £500,000 to enable us to develop the new park. This will help to boost biodiversity and nature recovery in the community and also celebrate HRH Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign as monarch.

The aims for Jubilee Park are to:

  • create an accessible and well connected space for all
  • focus on biodiversity and nature recovery with a wildflower meadow
  • protect plants and trees
  • respond to the needs and priorities of local community
  • make sure that the space is safe to use, stimulating and relaxing
  • have good facilities (paths, seating, waste bins and interpretation)

Public engagement

A public engagement was held as part of the Jubilee celebrations in 2022 and received nearly 200 responses.

The three options to choose between were Warmley Pitch and Putt, Banjo Island and Tarzan Park. The most popular was Warmley Pitch and Putt.

A proposed design was produced and people were asked to comment.  A final design was agreed in December 2022. Visit our consultation page for more information.

Works are now underway to develop the new space. View the project timeline.

Help care for Jubilee Park

We are looking for local people who care passionately about wildlife and making it accessible for others to enjoy.

By giving up your time you will get outside to help develop and care for the new park, mix with other people, keep fit and make a huge difference to your community.

Tasks include litter picking, planting trees and wildflowers or surveying wildlife. There are tasks for all abilities.

We are working closely with Oldland Parish Council to set up a new Friends Group to help care for the Jubilee Park.  Contact us using the details on this page for more information.
