Further advice

Residents are advised to avoid using public rights of way which may have been affected by flooding, especially near main rivers in South Gloucestershire including the Avon, the Boyd and the Frome.

Our highways maintenance teams work to clear blocked drains. We also work alongside Avon Fire and Rescue where needed.

Always listen to the advice of the emergency services and evacuate when told to do so. We have provided guidance on the steps to take if you are asked to evacuate your home.

The Environment Agency issue flood warnings and alerts for rivers in our area.
