Coronavirus: latest information on our response, updates on our services and what support is available

South Gloucestershire Youth Board

We come from all different areas in and around South Gloucestershire.  We are aged between 13 – 19 (25 for young people with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities).

Here’s some info on who we are and what we do. You can also follow us on Facebook.

We meet once every 2 weeks on a Tuesday evening from 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm in the Kingswood Youth Hub.

We have young people representing each area of South Gloucestershire.

The youth board is a group where young people are able to voice their opinion and make changes to things that affect the communities we live in.

We meet regularly with senior management and councillors to share our opinions and views and have a say in the development of the service.  We also keep them up to date with young people’s issues.

What we do

  • Take part in the interviews to appoint council staff
  • Children’s Commissioner Take Over Day
  • British Council conference and positive stories
  • Local democracy week
  • Young People United forum
  • “Shadow a councillor” award
  • Fun stuff – Meet new people, games, pizza
