Where relevant visitors can be signposted to other services in the locality including: Council one stop shops, GP surgeries, health centres, health visitors, housing services, Jobcentre Plus, maternity services, schools, children’s centres, voluntary sector services, youth centres and youth services.
Where signposting or initial advice is not enough, a member of the multi-agency duty service will meet with the parent/carer, child or young person to identify what is required. To support this, the hubs provide;
- A multi-agency ‘duty’ service for more complex problems, facilitating timely access to specialist services for those in greatest need, for example, child protection services, youth housing, health services.
- Drop-in or arranged access to a range of activities; such as ante-natal services, parenting support and social work
Please note that some services are available by referral only.
