Nuisance from building sites - out of hours

Generally, noisy work on building sites close to residential areas should take place only during the day.

If you have a complaint, you should contact the construction company. Out of hours, you can usually contact a company representative from the number on the site notice board. Where the site is adjacent to residential or business premises, heavy plant, noisy equipment or operations and deliveries should not take place outside the hours of;

  • Monday – Friday 7.30 – 18.00
  • Saturday – 8.00 – 13.00

On Sundays and bank holidays there should be no noisy activity. If there is going to be any unavoidable late night or early morning working, construction companies should advise neighbouring homes. Construction companies should also notify us before beginning such work.
