The minerals and waste local plan provides a framework for determining planning applications for minerals and waste development. The local plan is being replaced by documents in the new Local Plan for South Gloucestershire as these documents are prepared and adopted by the council.

The plan was adopted in May 2002.

Expired policies:

  • On 27 September 2007 the following policies in this local plan expired – Policies 2, 5, 7, 12, 15, 19, 25 and 30. The rest of the policies were ‘saved’.
  • On 25 March 2011 Policies 3, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43 were superseded by the joint waste core strategy
  • On 11 December 2013 Policies 31 and 35 were superseded by the core strategy.
