The Joint Waste Core Strategy guides decisions about where waste management facilities should be located within the West of England

The four West of England unitary authorities (South Gloucestershire, Bristol City, Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset Councils) adopted the Joint Waste Core Strategy on 25 March 2011. The policies in this document supersede a number of policies in the Minerals and Waste Local Plan.
