Admission arrangements

We are consulting on the following proposed schemes relating to school admissions:

A full copy of the proposed schemes and relevant area to apply in the admission year 2024/25 are available to download above.

While there are no substantive changes to the oversubscription criteria, the coordinated admission scheme or the in-year admission arrangements, there are proposed changes to a published admission number (PAN) as shown in the section below.

The closing date for responses is 16 December 2022.

All responses to the consultations will be included in our annual report on admission arrangements and considered by the Council’s Cabinet in March 2023. Any changes will be published in the Admission to Schools guide in September 2023.

Proposed changes to published admission numbers

The following school has a proposed change to their published admission number (PAN) from 1 September 2024:

  • Christ Church CE Primary, Hanham Decrease from 60 to 30

The consultations to change the PAN at Christ Church CE Primary in Hanham runs between 2 November and 16 December 2022. The admission number will apply to new applications received for first admission in September 2024 and age through these schools over a period of 7 years.

Details all proposals have been shared with:

  • parents/carers of children on roll at Christ Church CE Primary Hanham
  • parents/carers of children attending local pre-school provision
  • other interested parties via social media and the Council’s website
  • other admission authorities operating within South Gloucestershire
  • the Diocesan Authorities
  • adjoining authorities with an interest in the proposal
