While there are no substantive changes to the oversubscription criteria, the coordinated admission scheme or the in-year admission arrangements, there is a proposal to decrease the published admission number of Marshfield Church of England (CE) Voluntary Controlled (VC) Primary School from September 2022. Details are set out below.

Marshfield Church of England (CE) Voluntary Controlled (VC) Primary

Consultation on the proposal to reduce the admission number for Marshfield Church of England (CE) Voluntary Controlled (VC) Primary School from September 2022.

In consultation with Marshfield CE VC Primary School Governing Board, South Gloucestershire Council is proposing to reduce the admission number for Marshfield CE VC Primary School.

It is proposed to reduce the admission number from 26 to 20 with effect from 1 September 2022.

The proposal will bring the admission number more closely in line with recent and anticipated admissions to the school and will apply to new applications received for first admission to the Reception class in September 2022. The new admission number will age through the school and reach 20 across the age range over a period of 7 years.

No other alterations to the admission arrangements at the school are proposed and children currently attending the school will remain on roll.

Any comment on this proposal may be sent to South Gloucestershire Council by email to or by post at the following address:
