Polling district reviews

Each Local Authority must undertake regular reviews of its Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations to ensure that adequate arrangements are in place for electors to vote.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England undertook a review of South Gloucestershire’s ward boundaries during 2017.  The review recommendations take effect at the May 2019 District and Parish elections.  We need to undertake a review of our Polling Districts and Polling Places to give effect to the review recommendations.

Background information and a schedule of our proposals are available in the download section.

The consultation on the proposals closes on 18 January 2019.  If you wish to make comments on the proposals or have suggestions for alternative polling stations please email or send them in writing to Electoral Registration and Returning Officer, South Gloucestershire Council, PO Box 1953, Badminton Road, Bristol, BS37 0DB
