Pub relief 2020-21

Pub relief was announced in January 2020 which will provide a £1,000 discount to eligible pubs with a rateable value of less than £100,000 in 2020/21. This is in addition to the retail relief and will apply after the retail discount.

Pub relief will be subject to state aid rules, details of which can be found on the GOV.UK website.

Those pubs eligible for the relief will receive the relief automatically. However, may see their annual bills delayed. Your instalment plan will be adjusted if there is insufficient time for you to pay a 1 April 2020 instalment

If you have not received a revised rate demand notice but believe you are eligible or if you believe that by receiving this award you will be exceeding State Aid De Minimis Regulations, please contact the business rates team to review your business rates account.
