Registered charities and registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC) are entitled to an 80 per cent reduction in their business rates.
The Government announced the establishment of a £300m national discretionary fund over four years from 2017-18 to support those businesses that face the steepest increases in their business rates bills as a result of the 2017 revaluation.
Reductions available for empty business property
Any business which is experiencing financial hardship may make a claim for help with their business rates.
Business rate relief may be given to property where a part is unused for a short time.

In the Autumn Budget 2018 the Government introduced a new Retail Relief which will be available for 2 years: 2019-20 and 2020-21
Business properties in rural areas may be able to claim a rural rate discount of 50%.
Reductions for businesses with rateable up to £12,000.
A scheme of relief has been made available to those ratepayers facing large increases as a result of the loss of small business or rural rate relief from 1 April 2017.
