South Gloucestershire Core Strategy - Further Main Modifications

The South Gloucestershire Core Strategy will be the key document in the Council’s Local Plan and applies to the whole ofSouth Gloucestershire.  It sets out a vision for the area and the spatial strategy for future development to 2027.  It includes policies and programmes for the general location of new development, its type and scale, and the resources to deliver it, as well as protecting what is valued about the area.

The South Gloucestershire Core Strategy was subject to an examination by an independent Inspector who held hearing sessions between 19 June and 18 July 2012, and an additional hearing session on 7th March 2013. Following the additional hearing session, the Inspector has submitted his findings to the Council, in which he concludes that the March 2011 Submission Core Strategy, as amended by the December 2011 Core Strategy incorporating Post-Submission Changes, is capable of being made sound provided a number of Main Modifications are made.

The Inspector’s covering letter to accompany his Further Main Modifications can be accessed here.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
