To help celebrate the day we are running a Twitter competition giving South Gloucestershire residents the opportunity to win a £100 voucher to spend at any of the independent shops listed on our website www.southglos.gov.uk/smallbusinesssaturday.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply tweet the South Gloucestershire Council Twitter account with reasons why you like to shop locally and/or suggest your favourite independent shop from this list. All tweets must include the hashtag southglos.

The competition is for one day only (Saturday 7 December 2013) and one tweet will be chosen at random to win the £100 prize.

Cllr John Calway, Leader of South Gloucestershire Council, said: “Small Business Saturday is an excellent incentive to encourage residents to shop locally and help support local businesses. We have a fantastic range of independent shops in South Gloucestershire, why not pay them a visit this Saturday and you could even win yourself £100 by sharing your experiences on Twitter.”
