The club will show a different film every Saturday morning at 10:30am as part of a three-month promotion to encourage children and families to try its high-specification new cinema.

The free film club also operates on Thursday evenings at 7pm for young people aged 11-18.

To join the free film club and receive details of up-and-coming films please contact the Armadillo on 01454 869 441 or email info@yatearmadillo.co.uk.

Named by local young people in recognition of its distinctive shape, and painted a vivid purple colour, the 200-capacity Armadillo social space offers high-quality facilities including an internet café, DJ and band area and fully-featured cinema.

As well as fostering a spirit of enterprise among those involved in its operation, the cafe provides a safe and stimulating environment for local young people to socialise.

The centre is mostly funded by Yate Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council. However, a wide range of organisations have also given time, money and resources to support and develop the Armadillo. To get involved, please contact the Armadillo team on the details above.
