Cllr Boulton will welcome His Holiness Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose II who heads up the Indian Orthodox Church. His Holiness is consecrating the new church on Bank Road while he is visiting South Gloucestershire as part of a European tour. Cllr Boulton will be arriving at 12pm and will be available for a photo opportunity with the various religious leaders present.

Later today, Cllr Boulton will pay a visit to Longwell Green Community Centre to present a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS).

September 8 Chair to attend a service for new ministers at Bristol Cathedral.

September 9 Chair to attend an OutStories exhibition at Yate Library, part of the Discover Festival www.southglos.gov.uk/discover

September 10 Chair to attend a QAVS presentation at Kingswood Heritage Museum.

September 11 Chair to visit the Sainsbury’s store in Emersons Green to support a new food bank being set up.

September 12 Vice Chair Howard Gawler attends a thank you event for volunteers who work with council officers at Grimsbury Farm, Kingswood.

September 14 Chair to attend garden opening at Russell House, Hortham Lane, Almondsbury.

September 18 Chair to attend Summer Reading Challenge presentation at Hanham Library.

September 20 Chair to attend the Patchway Dementia Action launch, Coniston Community Centre.

September 21 Chair to visit the Queen Jubilee II Playing Field, Norman Scott Park, Coniston Road.

September 21 Chair will attend to watch a fire walk at Hollywood Towers, Almondsbury.

September 24 Chair to attend the opening of a Patchway youth centre which has transferred to Southern Brooks Community Partnership with South Gloucestershire Council providing open access youth work on Mondays and Wednesdays.

September 26 The Duke of Gloucester will pay a visit to Metryx company in Almondsbury, Airbus and the Science Park. Chair to attend the royal visit.

September 26 Chair to host the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire at Badminton Road council offices.

September 29 Chair will attend a civic service at Gloucester Cathedral.
