Run South Gloucestershire

There is a series of timed 5K runs called parkrun in parks across the UK, every Saturday morning at 9am, all year round. parkruns are suitable for any ability: new beginners and recreational runners join every week. junior parkruns (2K) take place every Sunday at 9am.

Chipping Sodbury and Pomphrey Hill parkruns (5K) and Little Stoke junior parkrun (2K) all started in 2014. Thornbury parkrun and Page Park junior parkrun  began in 2017. Check the events page of parkrun to register and find out more.

Parkruns are hugely popular and are managed entirely by local volunteers. If you would like to help set up a new parkrun in your area, please contact:

RunTogether is an official England Athletics recreational running project, which encourages more people to run, and to run more often. You may wish to contact the group leader first for a friendly chat. Enter your postcode and search for a group at RunTogether.

Please also see the attached list all of the groups that were registered with the former Run England, just before the launch of RunTogether. Please contact the group leader to check that the group is suitable for your needs.
