Public Access services for planning, building control and licensing applications will be unavailable 27 and 28 April due to essential maintenance.

Public open spaces include parks, playing fields, sports pitches and allotments.

If you spot something that could be dangerous, such as broken glass, do not report it online – call us as soon as possible on 01454 868000 (24 hours, 7 days a week)

You can use our online form to report a problem with:

  • a park or playing field
  • ball games or the misuse of a public space
  • an allotment
  • weeds
  • grass that needs cutting
  • a play area

You can also report graffiti to us for cleaning.

We are mowing a number of verges and green spaces in Yate less frequently as part of a pilot project to generate energy from grass cuttings and reduce the council’s carbon footprint.

Read details about the project and areas affected on our Energy from grass cuttings page.
