We are making changes to the way we manage planning applications that will come into effect on Thursday 1 November, 2018. Most users will not notice any big changes, but we hope there will be noticeable improvements in the speediness and consistency of the decisions made which will improve the service we provide. Know Your Place

Have you ever wished you could travel back in time and discover how your area has changed over the years? Know Your Place features extraordinary images from archives, museums and heritage collections across South Gloucestershire to give an unique insight into the history of the places where we live, work and visit every day.

Know Your Place – West of England, the digital mapping project to share your neighbourhood’s heritage online through old maps, historic images and heritage data. The Know Your Place platform maps Wiltshire, Bath & NE Somerset, Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Somerset. The project is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
