Procurement and equalities
The council ensures that equality remains a key consideration when contracting with and monitoring the performance of providers of goods and services.
Our aim in procurement is to achieve efficiency, value for money, sustainability and equality. This means that equality is an integral part of procurement at all stages – from access to opportunities to tender to the ongoing monitoring of the equalities practices of those with whom we contract.
For details of how equalities is integral to our procurement activity please read our Equalities in procurement guidance. Is there anything wrong with this page?
