This first assessment undertaken during early 2007 in response to the requirements of the Childcare Act 2006 and the Ten Year Childcare Strategy. This assessment, which was issued for consultation with parents, carers and providers, is the result of desktop analysis and is informed by a pilot process of consultation with parents, providers and employers.
