At the end of the Statutory Assessment process the LEA may decide that yourchild's needs can be met by his/her school continuing to fund special arrangements. This will mean that it is unnecessary for the LEA to issue a Statement of Special Educational Needs. Here it is usual to produce a Note in Lieu if no Statement is necessary, in order to make good use of the information gathered during the assessment.
