Title Statutory Assessments : Giving your advice to a statutory school age child over 11 years
Description Most children with Special Educational Needs will have their needs met by their school or pre-school provider alone. Schools have a responsibility to identify and provide for children with SEN from their own budgets. However, a number of children (nationally around 2%) have such severe or complex Special Educational Needs that a Statutory Assessment is necessary. The Assessment is called Statutory because the procedure is part of the Education Act.
