Reduce, reuse, recycle

Visit your local charity shop to get yourself a bargain, or clean out your wardrobe and garage and do a car boot/table top sale of any unwanted items.

Concessionary travel

If you’re 60 or over, or eligible disabled and live in England, you can apply for a bus pass providing free off-peak travel on local buses anywhere in England.

Anyone in South Gloucestershire can contact the Bristol and Somerset Energy Efficiency Advice Centre for free and independent advice and information on being energy-efficient at home. They can help you with matters including: making your home energy-efficient, reducing condensation damp and mould, cutting your fuel bills and renewable energy for the home.

Buying locally produced and seasonal food is great for the local economy, the environment and for your health. It reduces food miles and packaging waste, the food is often fresher and cheaper - and people can become reconnected with where and how their food is produced.
