What is it?
The council has been co-ordinating the quarterly Green Commuter Club since 2001. Its purpose is to:
- Engage with the business community on matters concerning transport
- Provide a forum for consultation on transport schemes
- Jointly develop solutions to tackle congestion
- Encourage networking amongst employers - to exchange ideas and best practice about travel plans
New members are always welcome
There are currently over 30 South Gloucestershire-based organisations attending, including regular support from neighbouring local authorities, public transport operators (First Bus and First Great Western Trains), cycling and car-sharing organisations (LifeCycle UK and Liftshare).
There are two forums:
- Aztec West Travel Forum
- The North Fringe Travel Forum
If you are interested in coming along, please contact our Transport Policy Team on 01454 864597 for more information.
