Real-time roadworks information
You can now view all roadworks in South Gloucestershire on an interactive map-based website. Search for roadworks on your route by using the link for the Elgin website on the right-hand side of this page under 'Other websites'.
Updated daily, the website shows all works carried out by public utilities companies, South Gloucestershire Council and the Highways Agency. It also includes information on any events which may cause congestion or require road closures.
Results are shown as a report or an interactive map and you can subscribe to alerts for new roadworks via email.
The road report
The road maintenance report produced by South Gloucestershire Council contains information about works currently being carried out on the public highway.
It includes all work being carried out by the council and works carried out by public utility bodies, such as Bristol Water and Telewest.
The information is updated on a weekly basis. See this week's road report by clicking on the link on the right-hand side of the page under 'Do it now'.
Road works on motorways
To check for roadworks and traffic congestion on the motorways in South Gloucestershire, the Highways Agency has CCTV cameras showing regularly-updated views of the motorway network.
