Changes to bus services

 

Bus companies can make changes to their services by giving eight weeks' notice to the Traffic Commissioner and the Council.  Under certain circumstances, the Traffic Commissioner can give permission for changes at shorter notice.

 Starting 20th May 2012

U7/U7a/U7ac These commercially run services have been cancelled by the bus operator, as they are no longer considered commercially viable. Service U7 will continue to run on Monday to Friday, with financial support from South Gloucestershire Council. 

U8 This service will now be financially supported by South Gloucestershire Council as the commercial service was cancelled by the bus operator. There will be minor amendments to the timetable, but with one less journey in each direction.

200 This service has been cancelled due to very low patronage, there are alternative services from Yate Shopping Centre to Frenchay Hospital, passengers wanting to go to/from Chipping Sodbury, will need to change buses in Yate.

202 A new comercially operated service running Monday, Wednesday and Friday only between Winterbourne and Chipping Sodbury. It will follow the route previously used by service 200.

482/483 Revised Monday to Friday timetable with one fewer journey from Cribbs Causeway. Saturday and Sunday services remain unchanged. This service is now supported by South Gloucestershire Council 7 days a week.

30 This service has been cancelled due to very low patronage.

41 Operated by Andybus, timetable revised to improve reliability and punctuality. There is no change to the route or frequency.

N50 Timetable revised to provide slightly later last journey from Bristol, and route extended to serve Brimsham Park area of Yate.

207 This service will now run only between Thornbury and Dursley, via Berkeley, and will now be run by Cotswold Green.

4 Some Monday to Friday AM and PM Peak journeys are re-timed slightly. There is no change to the route or frequency.

48 & 49 Monday to Friday daytime frequency for each service is increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes, giving a combined frequency of every 7/8 minutes on common sections of the route. Running times are revised across all days improve reliability and punctuality.
Monday to Sunday there is an additional journey at 2300 from Emerson’s Green, Sainsburys to Centre, Rupert Street. This provides a later last journey. On Sunday there is an additional journey at 0855 from Centre, Rupert Street to Emerson's Green, Sainsburys.

309 & 310 Timetable revised to improve reliability and punctuality. There is no change to the route or frequency.

318 & 319 Timetable revised to improve reliability and punctuality. Monday to Saturday there is an additional 2115 Service 319 journey from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station to Bath, Bus Station. This journey is a replacement to the 2122 Service 318 journey from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station to Kingswood, Kings Chase Centre, which is withdrawn. Monday to Saturday there is an additional 1930 Service 319 journey from Bath, Bus Station to Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station, which provides a later last journey. Monday to Friday there are additional Service 319 journeys from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station to Bath, Bus Station at 1745 and 1845. Monday to Friday 1815 Service 319 journey from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station to Bath, Bus Station is re-numbered Service 318 and will operate to Keynsham, Ashton Way. On Saturday there is an additional 1732 Service 319 journey from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station to Bath, Bus Station, the 1810 Service 319 journey from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station is advanced to 1802 and re-numbered Service 318 and will operate to Keynsham, Ashton Way and the 1855 Service 318 journey from Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station is advanced to 1845 and re-numbered Service 319 and will operate to Bath, Bus Station.

342/X42 Timetable revised to improve reliability and punctuality.Monday to Friday 1805 Service X42 from Bristol, Bus Station to Chipping Sodbury, Wickwar Road is withdrawn. Saturday there is an additional journey at 0730 from Bristol, Bus Station to Chipping Sodbury, Wickar Road to provide an earlier first journey. The Sunday and Public Holiday daytime frequency is increased from every 120 minutes to every 60 minutes. All daytime journeys will be operated on a commercial basis and will no longer receive financial support from South Gloucestershire Council.

X10/X11/X14 Timetable revised to improve reliability and punctuality. There is no change to the route or frequency.

X25 will now operate between Portishead, Combe Road and Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station only. A new service 125 will operate between Portishead Combe Road and Weston-super-Mare Passengers travelling on Service 125 to / from Weston-super-Mare can remain on the vehicle and through fares are available for Service X25. Departures times from Portishead, Combe Road and Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station are significantly revised.

U1 Timetable is amended to improve reliability. There are no changes to the route or frequency.

U2 Timetable is amended to improve reliability. The service will now operate all year round. There are no changes to the route or frequency.

U4 Timetable is amended to improve reliability. There are no changes to the route or frequency.
