Reporting damage and requesting a stop or shelter

Reporting damage to a bus stop

Bus stops in South Gloucestershire are provided and maintained by South Gloucestershire Council. We welcome reports of damage to bus stops or timetable cases - please contact the Council's Integrated Transport Unit (tel 01454 864596).

Reporting damage to a bus shelter

Bus shelters are provided and maintained by various organisations. These are:-

- Town and Parish Councils
- South Gloucestershire Council
- Clear Channel (mainly shelters that have advertising panels)
- supermarkets

Please notify damage to bus shelters to the Council's Integrated Transport Unit (tel 01454 864596) so that the details can be relayed to the shelter owner and repairs arranged.

Requesting a new bus stop

If you would like an additional bus stop installed along a particular route, please contact the Council's Integrated Transport Unit (01454 864596). The Council will liaise with the relevant bus operator to determine if a new stop can be sited in a safe and suitable location. However, if the bus service is provided on a commercial basis, the decision to introduce an additional bus stop will be a matter for the bus operator.

Requesting a new bus shelter

If you want a shelter in an area that has a parish or a town council, please contact that council. If you want a shelter in Kingswood, please contact the Integrated Transport Unit (tel 01454 864596).
