South Gloucestershire Council supports a project called 'Take a Stand' which provides cycle racks to small businesses, voluntary organisations and charities.
Run in partnership with the charity Life Cycle UK the scheme supplies cycle racks free of charge. Installation of racks is the responsibility of the applicants but Lifecycle can help you arrange this.
If you are a voluntary sector group, school, small business, church or surgery, apply for your free cycle stand by downloading and filling in the Take a Stand application form.
You can greatly reduce the chance of having your bicycle stolen by locking it to a cycle stand with a good quality lock.
It is also a good idea to secure both the frame and wheels and to remove small parts such as lights and pumps.
