Financial Statement
The 2010 charges regulations require the local authority to publish a financial statement relating to the Building Regulations fee earning account. The council will publish within 6 months after the end of the financial year a statement which relates to the chargeable costs, the chargeable income and the amount of surplus or deficit and will be approved by the councils section 151 officer. Any compliant in relation to this statement should be made in the first instance to the councils Building Control manager. If unsatisfied with the council’s response the complainant has the right to escalate to the councils appointed auditor.
