Reporting hate crime

There are a number of ways you can report a hate crime incident, by contacting various agencies or support organisations in person or by telephone.

It helps when reporting an incident if you are able to write down the following details:
  • time and date
  • details of the incident
  • identity or description of the perpetrator
  • name of any witness
  • time and date you called the police.

You can report a hate crime/incident to the following agencies

Tenants of Housing Association properties can also report to their housing office.

Anti-social behaviour
Many hate incidents are also classes as incidents of anti-social behaviour. Please see the anti-social behaviour pages and speak to our team if you are at all unsure.
