Policies, Sites and Places (PSP) Plan: Examination

This page provides information on the Public Examination of the South Gloucestershire Local Plan: Policies, Sites and Places (PSP) Plan.

Following submission to the Secretary of State on 14 November 2016, the South Gloucestershire Local Plan: Policies, Sites and Places (PSP) Plan has been subject to independent scrutiny in the form of an Examination in Public (EiP).  Public Hearing sessions were held on 7th, 8th, 22nd and 23rd February 2017.

The purpose of the Examination was to consider if the Policies, Sites and Places (PSP) Plan Development Plan Document (DPD) complies with legal requirements and is 'sound.'  The Secretary of State appointed Inspector Louise Phillips MA MSc MRTPI to conduct the examination.

Consultation Topic
  • Planning policy & strategy
Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
