Grounds maintenance

Flower bed
We maintain land which we own or which we are responsible for. There are 44,000 sites across South Gloucestershire that we maintain, including schools, playing fields and parks.

Most of our work is routine and planned. This includes:

  • Grass cutting
  • Hedge cutting
  • Weeding
  • Shrub and flower bed maintenance
  • Litter collection

Some jobs, however, are not needed every year and are described as non-routine or ad-hoc. These jobs include:

  • Litter clearance after an event
  • Digging a new shrub bed
  • Bringing newly acquired land up to standard

Please note that we are not responsible for:

  • Private land
  • Several commons within the area (run by parish councils)
  • Tenants' gardens (although this can be done by special arrangement)
