Corporate Parenting plan
The Children in Care Implementation Plan forms the basis of the council's framework to achieve the aims and objectives of outcomes for Children In Care and the corporate parenting strategy. It reflects the council's belief that all of our children and young people deserve the best possible start in life, have access to services that will enable them to overcome disadvantage and that the whole council has a part to play in the corporate parenting responsibilities to achieve this end. It guides the implementation of the objectives set out in the Children and Young People Plan 2010-20112.
The 2010-2012 plan addresses the five Every Child Matters outcomes and has been developed using the Outcome Based Accountability also known as “Turning the Curve” methodology to planning and commissioning resources.
