We have introduced a testing phase for the weekly collection of food waste in South Gloucestershire, affecting approximately 16,000 households.
The results of the testing phase will help us identify any problems before the service is rolled out to the remainder of South Gloucestershire households.
This will be superceded by a new kerbside collection of food waste that is planned to be rolled out to houses throughout South Gloucestershire at the end of 2010/early 2011.
Properties on the food waste testing phase will be advised of the change in service shortly before the new service begins.
